At our shelter, we work every day, alongside fantastic volunteers and donations from everyone, to offer a second chance to the wonderful beings who have been less fortunate in life. Our dogs and cats are affectionate and full of gratitude, ready to give all their love to anyone who decides to open the doors of their heart and home.
Adopting a furry friend not only changes the animal’s life but also enriches your own. Each adoption is an act of love and compassion that creates a unique and unbreakable bond between human and animal.
Below, you can find the information on how to adopt a dog or a cat.
If for any reason you cannot bring a furry friend home, we encourage you to consider the option of remote adoption. Through this generous gesture, you can help one of our dogs by becoming their adoptive parent. You will receive updates on your dog and are always welcome to visit the shelter whenever you wish.
Every financial contribution for remote adoption helps cover veterinary, food, and care expenses for your adopted furry friend, ensuring they receive all the love and care they need.
There are three levels of remote adoption: from a simple monthly contribution to a larger donation, up to full coverage of all expenses needed for a dog’s daily care and support.
Choosing adoption or remote adoption is a gesture of great altruism that will change an animal’s life and bring you endless joy.

Process for Adopting a Cat
If you are interested in welcoming a feline from our shelter, here’s what you need to know about the adoption process:
1. Visit the Cat Shelter: We invite you to visit our shelter to meet our residents and find your new furry companion.
2. Compilazione del Questionario di Preaffido: During your visit, we will ask you to fill out a brief questionnaire. This helps us understand your needs and ensure that your home is a suitable environment for the cat you wish to adopt.
3. Home Visit Interview: Subsequently, one of our volunteers will visit your home for an introductory interview. This will allow us to assess whether the space and conditions of your residence are suitable for the well-being of the cat and to get to know you better.
4. Acceptance of the Sterilization/Castration Requirement: Adopters must agree to sterilize or castrate kittens. Adult cats are already sterilized or castrated in accordance with our policy to combat stray populations.
5. Adoption of Your New Friend: If the pre-adoption interview is successful, you will be welcome to return to the cattery to adopt your new cat.

PROCESS FOR DOG ADOPTION
If you are interested in welcoming a dog from our shelter, here is what you need to know for the adoption process:
1. Visit to the Shelter: Vi invitiamo a venire presso il nostro rifugio per conoscere i nostri cani e trovare il vostro nuovo amico a quattro zampe.
2. Completion of the Pre-Adoption Questionnaire: During your visit, we will ask you to complete a short questionnaire. This will help us understand your needs and ensure that the dog you wish to adopt is a good match for your lifestyle.
Home Visit Interview: Subsequently, one of our volunteers will conduct a home visit for an introductory interview. This will allow us to assess whether your home is suitable and safe for accommodating the dog. In cases where the dog needs to be placed in a setting with a garden, it will be mandatory that the garden is fenced to ensure the animal’s safety. If the dog is to coexist with other pets, we recommend arranging a preliminary meeting to ensure harmonious coexistence.
4. Acceptance of the Sterilization/Castration Requirement: Adopters must agree to sterilize or castrate the dog in accordance with our policy for animal welfare and to help control the dog population.
5. Adoption of Your New Friend: If the pre-adoption interview is successful and all requirements are met, you will be welcome to return to the shelter to adopt your new four-legged companion.
